Overnight Crime Spree Rocks Coober Pedy
Residents are being urged to check their security cameras and dash cams after a series of thefts and break-ins across Coober Pedy overnight.

Police are investigating what appears to be a coordinated crime spree involving the theft of four vehicles, multiple break-ins and extensive property offences throughout the township.

Two of the stolen vehicles were taken from the District Council depot and have since been recovered. However, investigations into the remaining offences are continuing.

Among the businesses targeted was the Coober Pedy Golf Club, with police confirming they are looking for at least four people believed to be involved.

CCTV footage from a number of local businesses has already been handed to investigators, but police are appealing for anyone with additional vision to come forward.

If you live in the area, have a home security camera, business CCTV, or were driving through town overnight with a dash cam fitted, your footage could provide crucial evidence that helps identify those responsible.

Anyone with relevant footage or information is urged to contact Police Assistance on **131 444**. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers if preferred.

The Bush Telegraph encourages the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. With the assistance of local residents and available CCTV footage, it is hoped those responsible will soon be identified and held accountable.

If you have any information that may assist investigators, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please contact police.
