A mechanic’s workshop on Hutchison Street has suffered extensive damage in an early morning fire that police believe was deliberately lit.

Police and fire crews were called to the Coober Pedy premises about 3.30am on Saturday, 7 November, following reports of a large blaze.

The fire caused extensive damage to the workshop. Police are investigating the circumstances and have appealed for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
